About The Position
Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center (SBVCC) is recruiting for an LPN Floor Nurse with Charge Nurse responsibilities for specific weekend and weekday shifts. This facility provides care for Virginia's Veterans in a single-level setting with 200 single-occupancy rooms across four nursing units. Part-time wage employees are not eligible for benefits and hours are limited to 1500 per year.
Requirements
- Must be licensed as a Practical Nurse in Virginia.

Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatment accurately for assigned residents.
- Consult with physicians; receives, records and implements orders and schedules appointments.
- Document residents’ health changes via acute care nurse’s notes and shift change nursing reports.
- Formulate plans of care for new residents and prepares all required reports and documentation.
- Conduct daily rounds; observing and evaluating the physical and emotional status of assigned residents and taking necessary actions to ensure their health and well-being.
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and materials necessary for nursing care; Consulting with Nursing Supervisor/Unit Manager as needed.
