About The Position

At The Glen, our nurses provide clinical leadership to the household and perform nursing functions within the household to ensure the provision of effective daily care & services to each resident in accordance with their assessment, choices and plan of care. Requirements

Licensure as an LPN in Louisiana, unencumbered and must maintain license renewal in accordance with the standards of the State Board of Nursing.
1+ years' experience in nursing (long term care preferred).
CPR certified.
IV certified.
Commitment to person directed care.
Excellent computer skills and able to use EHR, MS Outlook, and phone/fax.
Proficient in use of medical terminology.
The ability to work successfully both independently and with the care team in household settings.

Nice To Haves

Specialized training or experience in dementia care and geriatric nursing preferred.

Facilitate a sense of team connection and participation among household staff.
Nurture a sense of accountability to residents and the household among nursing staff.
Advocate for the needs of the household, residents, families, or staff.
Provide clear directions and explanations, eliciting trust and cooperation from staff.
Communicate resident's medical needs clearly with staff and families, and facilitate other staff participation in medical care.
Communicate clearly and effectively with physicians.
Perform nursing functions within the household to ensure the provision of effective daily care and services to each resident in accordance with their assessment, choices and plan of care.
