About The Position
Misericordia Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, a 5-star rated nursing home providing compassionate care to older adults since 1943, is seeking a talented LPN Charge Nurse. This part-time position offers a supportive environment with low patient to staff ratios and an opportunity to help set the standard for resident and nursing team support. The ideal candidate will value older adults and possess a purpose-driven and collaborative approach to care. The facility is increasing staffing ratios to benefit both staff and residents.
Requirements
- Current licensure to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania
- Genuine concern for the needs of older adults.
- Strong customer service skills with both internal & external customers.
Responsibilities
- Providing professional nursing care to residents through the proper administration of prescribed medications and treatments.
- Documenting pertinent information in the resident care notes/chart.
- Assisting in the admission, transfer, and discharge of residents in accordance with physician orders, Misericordia policy and governing regulations.
- Providing companionship as well as nursing care to residents, ensuring their understanding of the care being provided.
- Providing leadership and guidance to the team of CNAs.
- Using assessment skills and making decisions to help the team serve residents.
