About The Position
This position is responsible for being a Superior Supervisor, acting in charge of the building in the absence of department heads. The role involves being active in the department, assisting and leading the Wellness team and other departments to ensure quick, reliable, and person-centered care. The individual will also be a Force on the Floor, setting a good example by assisting with call lights and requests, demonstrating a sense of urgency to prioritize resident needs. Additionally, the role requires being a Diligent Documenter, completing resident assessments, medical records, and internal documents accurately and efficiently. Finally, the position demands being a Compassionate Caregiver, exemplifying core values and ensuring professional, caring interactions that leave residents feeling safe and cared for.
Requirements
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing within state of employment.
- Thorough working knowledge of current care standards and regulations.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of current medication regulation and law.
- Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds and perform two-person transfers.
- Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
- Can read, write, understand, and communicate in English with our Residents!
- Must have a positive and energetic attitude who will LOVE our Residents!
Nice To Haves
- Experience in hands-on care of memory impaired residents is preferred, but not required.
- Experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) as it is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- In the absence of department heads, this position is in charge of the building.
- Be active in the department, assisting and leading the Wellness team and other departments in ensuring quick, reliable, and person-centered care is provided.
- Be available to help with call lights, requests for assistance from the team, and demonstrate a sense of urgency that puts the needs, great or small, of a resident first.
- Resident assessments, medical records, and internal documents should be completed accurately and efficiently, and filed correctly.

- Provide direct (hands-on) nursing care, including medication passes as needed.
