About The Position

The PRN Clinic LPN provides patient education and consultation to explain and define complicated medical treatments and procedures, as well as perform injection training and medication education. The LPN must assist the provider in an effort to provide the highest quality of medical care in a productive and efficient manner. The role requires understanding the clinic's operations and how the job interrelates with other clinic teams to meet the goal of offering good patient care. The LPN must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with patients regarding various instructions.

Requirements

• Current license with MS State Board of Nursing
• BLS certification
• CPR certification
• Understanding of clinic procedures
• Proficiency with electronic medical records
• Knowledge of medical equipment and maintenance
• Understanding of medical terminology
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
• Proficiency in intramuscular injection technique
• Proficiency in subcutaneous injection technique
• Knowledge of reporting of incidents and injuries
• Adherence to Universal Precautions
