About The Position
Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for-profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954. We offer 24-hour emergency care, plus most major medical, surgical and diagnostic services.
Requirements
- Graduate of an LPN program Required
- LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
Nice To Haves
- New graduates of an accredited nursing school are eligible
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
- Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area applying for Preferred
- ACLS if working in Emergency Department Required
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support if working in Emergency Department within 180 Days Required
- LPNs new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 180 Days
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing the nursing process in accordance with Piedmont Healthcare's Mission and Vision Statements.
- Functions within the framework of their license and the policy and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability.
- Guides ancillary staff, collaborates with other health care professionals in the provision of quality nursing care.
- Blends compassion, caring and technologically appropriate competency resulting in holistic care to the patient.
