This role is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a Cardiology outpatient office. The LPN will perform direct patient care activities, including lab tests, treatments, and medication administration, under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, RN Supervisor, RN, and/or physician. The position involves preparing patients for examinations and treatments, carrying out clinical and quality control activities, and supporting the Physician Practice. The LPN will also be involved in performance improvement initiatives as assigned. The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate documentation, patient education, and coordination of communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers. Additionally, the LPN will assist with prescription refills, prior authorizations, and support performance improvement initiatives within the practice. Maintaining a clean and safe environment, performing point-of-care testing with quality control, and assisting with patient medical records are also key responsibilities.
