This position is part of a great team and involves performing direct patient care activities, such as lab tests, treatments, and medication administration, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, RN Supervisor, RN, and/or physician. The role supports the Physician Practice by carrying out clinical activities, quality control, and performance improvement initiatives. The LPN will deliver direct and indirect patient care in accordance with the LPN Practice Act, hospital and/or physician practice policies, procedures, and protocols. This includes collecting patient health care data, administering medications, providing patient education, and maintaining collaborative relationships with physicians. The role also involves preparing patients for examinations, assisting physicians with procedures, ensuring patient safety, and coordinating communications between patients, families, pharmacies, specialists, and insurance carriers. Additionally, the LPN will support performance improvement initiatives and maintain the environment of care, including performing point-of-care testing and quality control.
