The OB/GYN team offers specialized care for women, including comprehensive prenatal care, preventative health screenings and general gynecology. As an LPN on this team, your work will be primarily hands-on, with an expectation to assist with numerous procedures. Some of your patients may experience infertility, gynecologic cancer and other sensitive conditions, so compassion and empathy are critical. In this position, you can make a lasting and meaningful difference in the lives of your patients and their families. This is a part-time role. A caregiver in this position works from 7:30am to 4:00pm or 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of Practical Nursing
  • Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

  • One year of patient care experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care activities under the direction of an RN, Physician, Optometrist and/or Podiatrist.
  • Collect and document objective/subjective data and observations about patients.
  • Complete nursing assessments and report all data.
  • Implement the current nursing care plan, medication or treatment and communicate patients’ responses.
  • Observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests.
  • Educate patients and family members.
  • Participate in the departmental orientation of new employees, share knowledge and provide guidance when assigned.
