About The Position
Cleveland Clinic Community Care offers experienced internal medicine caregivers skilled in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of adult disease and conditions. No matter how common or complex your medical condition is, our Internal Medicine teams work in collaboration with other Cleveland Clinic specialists to coordinate and manage your care. A caregiver in this position works varying shifts between Monday and Thursday, 7:00am to 8:00pm, Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm, and weekends 8:00am to 12:00pm, with one Saturday per month and occasional Sunday clinic coverage.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of practical nursing.
- Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practice Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross.
Nice To Haves
- One year of patient care experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or physician.
- Collect and document objective and subjective data and observations about patients.
- Complete nursing assessments and report all data.
- Implement the current nursing care plan, medication or treatment and communicate patients’ responses.
- Observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
- Perform routine laboratory tests.
- Educate patients and family members.
