About The Position

The Licensed Clinical Supervisor provides clinical supervision, guidance, and professional development support to Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs) and Practicum Associates. This role focuses exclusively on supervision and clinical oversight and does not include direct administrative management responsibilities unless otherwise agreed upon. The supervisor ensures clinical services are delivered ethically, professionally, and in accordance with applicable state regulations, licensing board standards, and organizational policies.

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted professional clinical license in the applicable state (e.g., LPC, LPCC, LMHC, LICSW, LMFT, or equivalent)
  • Approved Supervisor credential or eligibility to provide board-approved supervision, if required by state regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of ethical standards, documentation requirements, and clinical best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and mentorship skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2–5 years of post-licensure clinical experience preferred.
  • Experience supervising clinicians, interns, or trainees preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide scheduled individual and/or group clinical supervision to LPCs and Practicum Associates.
  • Support supervisees in clinical case conceptualization, treatment planning, documentation practices, and ethical decision-making.
  • Monitor clinical competency, professional conduct, and adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Review and sign documentation as required by state licensing regulations and organizational policies.
  • Assist supervisees in developing clinical skills, therapeutic interventions, and professional confidence.
  • Provide constructive feedback and performance-related recommendations regarding clinical practice.
  • Maintain accurate supervision records, including supervision hours and required documentation.
  • Identify training and professional development needs among supervisees.
  • Report concerns related to client safety, ethical violations, or clinical risk in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the supervisor/designee.
