About The Position

The Loyalty and Personalization Specialist is a strategic project manager who brings structure, rigor, and clear execution to Macy’s loyalty and personalization initiatives. This role is well-suited for an individual eager to manage cross-functional projects from planning through delivery in a high-performance, results-driven retail environment. The Specialist is responsible for owning the team’s project roadmap, managing risk and timelines, and reporting on progress and results, while partnering across Merchandising, Marketing, and technology teams to keep initiatives on track. They demonstrate fluency in project management, process documentation, and translating performance data into clear recommendations for leadership.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, oversee cross-functional workstreams, and drive execution with precision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience identifying project risk early, building resolution plans, and confirming readiness across a portfolio of initiatives.
  • Ability to document workflows and set process standards that scale as project volume grows.
  • Experience managing measurement processes and turning performance data into clear, project-level reporting for leadership.
  • Apply a deep problem-solving orientation in a complex and matrixed stakeholder environment.
  • Comfortable partnering with technology and analytics teams to support project delivery and testing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely. Ability to tell a compelling story for different audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Own the integrated project roadmap, milestones, dependencies, and governance across active initiatives.
  • Lead weekly project review, bringing cross-functional partners together to align on status, readiness, and priorities.
  • Manage project plans and timelines, tracking progress, mitigating risk, and ensuring on-time delivery of key initiatives.
  • Set and maintain process standards, documentation, and project management discipline that scale as the team grows.
  • Identify project risk early and build resolution plans before issues threaten a deadline.
  • Own measurement and performance reporting, confirming dashboards and reporting tools have accurate, timely inputs.
  • Partner with technology and analytics teams on platform enhancements and testing that support project delivery.
  • Manage the intake, prioritization, and delivery of new process and technology enhancements.
  • Own launch readiness for campaigns and projects, including quality assurance and final approval.
  • Maintain a clear intake and tracking process so every request has a status and an owner.
  • Produce project reporting and documentation for leadership, translating detail into a clear picture of progress.
  • Be a student of the business, developing a deep understanding of loyalty and personalization trends and keeping a pulse on competitors to keep Macy’s on the forefront of innovation.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration across organizational boundaries; understand and know how to successfully navigate a matrixed organization.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
