About The Position

Heritage Classical Academy is seeking a qualified Lower School Administrator for the Peninsula Campus. Applicants should possess a vibrant Christian testimony demonstrating a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Applicants should also fully support HCA’s Statement of Faith and be excited about the great tradition of classical Christian education. The Administrator will be instrumental in shaping the Christian culture of HCA, and as such, the ideal candidate will exude a love for children. This position demands a humble leader and life-long learner who is able to deftly handle interpersonal conflicts, comfortable speaking before an audience, and who desires to nurture growth in both students and teachers. All employees of Heritage Classical Academy possess a Christian testimony demonstrating a personal, active, and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. They also fully support HCA’s Statement of Faith and support the mission to Cultivate Lifelong Learners Who Think and Live for Christ. They will also be involved in a local church that aligns with the mission and vision of HCA.

Requirements

  • Committed Christian with active membership in a local church
  • Full support of HCA’s mission and Statement of Faith
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience teaching and leading in a school setting
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • classical Christian experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Advance and model HCA’s mission, vision, values, and Statement of Faith
  • Foster a Christ-centered Lower School culture marked by joy, charity, order, and curiosity
  • Demonstrate servant leadership and a biblical model of work
  • Represent the school clearly and graciously to students, families, and the community
  • Recruit, mentor, evaluate, and support Lower School faculty, including Academy and Study Center
  • Cultivate a culture of professional growth and Christian charity
  • Support faithful classical pedagogy and curricular coherence
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on staffing, academic events and curriculum
  • Support Student Services and Early Childhood programs and staff
  • Oversee daily Campus operations
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with parents and faculty
  • Interview prospective and current families to ensure mission alignment
  • Partner on community engagement initiatives
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Associate Head of School
