This position is dispatched to transport construction materials to customer or job site locations. May be assigned to move construction materials at different job sites. Conducts all work in accordance with company policies, procedures, and programs. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid class A Commercial Driver's License is required for Low bed, low boy
  • Valid class B Commercial Driver's License is required for Tilt and flat bed
  • In compliance with all DOT physical requirements
  • Previous experience is preferred
  • Valid Driver’s license required
  • Ability to give and receive written or oral instructions
  • Must have ability to work independently
  • Must pass DOT physicals
  • Skilled in loading, unloading Heavy Equipment
  • Ability to maintain composure, professionalism in all situations
  • Ability to read maps and follow directions to locations
  • Must be physically able to operate, move about, and maintain a dump truck.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to change.
  • Interact professionally with the public and others in the company while making deliveries.
  • Ability to show composure and constraint while driving safely.
  • Adaptable and Flexible

Responsibilities

  • Transport construction materials to customer or job site locations.
  • Move construction materials at different job sites.
  • Conduct all work in accordance with company policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Make daily pre/post trip inspections on assigned vehicle to maintain maximum vehicle safety conditions and to check for any damaged or work parts or for any signs of tampering.
  • Report all problems found to the shop immediately.
  • Drive to destination applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and of roads in the area.
  • Maintain a truck log in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policy.
  • Communicate any problems with traffic or with site conditions promptly.
  • Get information on the location of the job site and the locations of any light bridges or roads on the way to the site.
  • Comply with all aspects of truck maintenance, cleanliness and repair in accordance with the guidelines specified in the Truck Driver's Handbook.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned.
