About The Position

Northern Mat & Bridge is seeking an experienced Class 1 Lowbed Driver for steady, meaningful work across Western Canada. This role involves safely hauling heavy equipment, matting, and bridge materials to customer sites, working alongside a strong operations team. A Sign-On Bonus Program is available for experienced drivers.

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 licence with a clean driver’s abstract
• 2+ years of Class 1 experience (lowbed and/or Super B preferred)
• Solid understanding of load securement and safe hauling practices
• Comfortable working in field and changing site conditions
• Willingness to travel across AB, BC, SK, and MB

Nice To Haves

• Experience with oversized/overweight loads
• Winch truck experience
• Familiarity with jeep and booster setups
• Background in oilfield, construction, or remote site work
• Knowledge of matting or bridge products

Responsibilities

• Operating lowbed, Super B, and tandem trailers to move heavy equipment and materials
• Safely loading, securing, and transporting oversized and specialized loads
• Completing pre- and post-trip inspections and ensuring equipment is road-ready
• Handling paperwork and logs (e-logs, BOLs, time tickets) accurately
• Working closely with operators, dispatch, and site teams during loading/unloading
• Participating in toolbox talks and safety meetings
• Helping maintain clean, well-kept trucks and trailers
• Contributing to a safe, organized, and professional worksite
