About The Position

RIGHTECH is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Technician for a one-week project in Pueblo, Colorado, starting 10/26. The role involves installing and testing CAT6 cabling in commercial environments. The technician should have a strong background in structured cabling and be able to work independently or as part of a team.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of commercial low-voltage or structured cabling experience.
• Hands-on experience pulling, terminating, and testing CAT6 cable.
• Experience working in commercial construction environments.
• Familiarity with patch panels, RJ45 connectors, and data jacks.
• Experience using cable testing equipment.
• Ability to read and follow project drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Reliability, safety consciousness, and ability to work independently or with a crew.
• Required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Pull, route, and install CAT6 cable in commercial buildings.
• Terminate CAT6 cable at patch panels, data jacks, and other endpoints.
• Test and troubleshoot CAT6 cabling to ensure proper connectivity and performance.
• Dress, label, and organize cabling according to project specifications.
• Install cable pathways, including J-hooks, cable trays, and conduit as needed.
• Read and follow blueprints, cable plans, and project drawings.
• Maintain clean and professional cable installations.
• Follow jobsite safety requirements and procedures.
