Low Voltage Technician
About The Position
NextGen Technologies is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Technician for their commercial crew in the Savannah market. The company has over 20 years of experience in commercial fire protection and low-voltage systems. This role involves installing and servicing various low-voltage systems including fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion, and structured cabling. The ideal candidate will have experience pulling, terminating, and testing cabling, mounting and programming devices, running service calls, troubleshooting system issues, and working from blueprints while coordinating with general contractors and electricians on commercial job sites.
Requirements
- 3+ years hands-on commercial low-voltage experience
- Valid GA driver's license and clean MVR
- Comfortable on ladders, lifts, ceilings, and attics
Nice To Haves
- Fire alarm experience preferred
- NICET I preferred
Responsibilities
- Install and service low-voltage systems: fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion, structured cabling
- Pull, terminate, and test cabling (CAT5e/6, plenum, J-hooks, ladder tray)
- Mount and program devices
- Run service calls and troubleshoot system issues
- Work off prints and coordinate with GCs and electricians on commercial jobs
