About The Position
TEKsystems Inc. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Telecommunications Technician to join our team in the Greater Nashville Area. This position offers a 6-month contract with the possibility of a permanent hire, along with comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and 401k benefits. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications systems and equipment, performing routine inspections, troubleshooting network issues, and configuring devices. The technician will collaborate with team members, provide technical support to end-users, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards. Staying updated with industry trends and emerging technologies is also a key aspect of the role.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in telecommunications or related field.
- Knowledge of telecommunications systems, including routers, switches, and cabling.
- Familiarity with VoIP, PBX systems, and network protocols.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to adapt to changing technologies and requirements.

Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications systems and equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot network issues.
