About The Position

Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Core Responsibilities System Integration: Connecting and configuring individual components (e.g., cameras, motion sensors, and access control readers) so they function as a cohesive system. Structured Cabling: Installing, terminating, and testing copper (Cat5e/6/6A) and fiber optic cabling systems. Programming & Commissioning: Tailoring system functionality, such as setting user permissions, configuring IP addresses, and programming automation settings (e.g., Control4, Crestron, or Lutron). Diagnostic & Repair: Troubleshooting complex issues in existing infrastructure using specialized tools like multimeters, cable certifiers, and network testers. Blueprint Interpretation: Reading and updating technical drawings, schematics, and "as-built" documentation to ensure compliance with company and BICSI standards. Key Skills & Qualifications Technical Proficiency: Knowledge and experience in CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarms, Intercoms, and Wi-Fi/Network infrastructure. Physical Capability: Ability to climb ladders, work a loft, lift up to 50–70 lbs, and identify wires by color. Soft Skills: Strong communication for training end-users and collaborating with project managers or other trades. Certifications: While not always mandatory, Control4, Lutron and any/all Smart integration systems
