About The Position

The Low Voltage Technician will specialize in the maintenance and repair of commercial security systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection systems, and IT network infrastructure/servers. This Low Voltage Technician requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in video surveillance systems and access control systems, including intrusion detection systems.
  • High awareness of job site safety protocols and strict adherence to Benson’s safety standards underscore a commitment to a secure working environment.
  • Excels in analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving tasks, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, facilitating clear and effective interactions.
  • Must pass a background check with no DUI or domestic violence records, as some work may be on Federal Property and Military Reservations.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with IT network infrastructure/servers.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain low-voltage systems in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Work closely with customers, contractors, and other team members to ensure the successful completion of projects while adhering to safety standards and industry regulations.
  • Handle various low-voltage systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection systems, and IT network infrastructure/servers.
  • Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on all low-voltage systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Document all work performed, including installations, repairs, and maintenance, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers and team members as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to continually improve service quality and efficiency.
  • Lead by example in maintaining Benson’s safety protocols and job site safety standards.
