Low Voltage Lead Technician
About The Position
This position is for a Low Voltage Lead Technician who possesses a strong working knowledge of telecommunications voice and data systems, including voice and data cabling and associated infrastructure. The role requires experience in installing, troubleshooting, and testing various types of twisted pair cabling, as well as adherence to SCS manufacturers' practices and installation guidelines. The technician must be capable of performing installations in challenging environments such as above false ceilings, on lifts, and catwalks, and be proficient in tasks like fishing cables in walls, installing raceways, mud-rings, cable racking, trays, data racks, and frames.
Requirements
- 2+ Years Field Experience
- Overall working knowledge of telecommunications voice and data systems, voice and data cabling and cabling infrastructure
- Experience installing, troubleshooting and testing unshielded and shielded twisted pair cabling
- Skilled in the SCS manufacturers practices and installation guidelines
- Experience and ability to work above false ceilings, on lifts, on catwalks, fishing cables in walls, installing raceways to conceal wire, installing mud-rings in drywall, installing cable racking and trays, installing data racks and frames, etc.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
