About The Position

Fiber Network Services (FNS) is a communications contractor specializing in fiber optic and cable network services for major clients such as Cox Communications, Comcast Cable, Segra, and Suddenlink across multiple states and Washington D.C. FNS is seeking an experienced Low Voltage/ISP Wiring Technician to join their team in Salem/Roanoke, VA. This role involves assisting with and being responsible for ISP Fiber and/or Coax drops to commercial locations. A Low Voltage certification is not required for this position.

Requirements

Knowledge of ISP low voltage wiring.
Ability to effectively communicate with others and work within a team environment.
Ability to be at work every day at 7am.
Possession of a valid Driver's license.
Ability to pass a drug screening.
Ability to pass a background check.
Ability to read and understand technical instructions.
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Able to lift up to 25lbs.
ABLE TO PASS A DOT PHYSICAL.

Nice To Haves

3-5 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Cabling ISP Coax and/or Fiber for Hybrid/Fiber Coax commercial installs.
Install conduit and cabinets.
Fill concrete pads.
Provide timely updates to FNS Management teams and clients.
Communicate effectively and track project lifecycle via Excel, Database, or other digital platforms.
Ensure all construction projects have a clear and accurate scope.
Maintain accurate timelines for projects.
Analyze tasks associated with a project to ensure all labor and materials are in place prior to kickoff.
Recognize and enforce safe working environments for inside-plant construction projects.
Document and provide final As-built and billing information.
