About The Position

Chapel-Romanoff Technologies, LLC (CRT), an EMCOR Company, is seeking people interested in low-voltage cabling, audiovisual, and security work. Applicants without experience may begin an apprenticeship; training will be provided. The role installs and services low-voltage cabling and network-enabled systems across CRT’s markets. It is based in Dayton, Ohio, and reports to the General Foreman. The position is full-time and non-exempt. Extended hours or weekend overtime may be available.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of the low-voltage integration or ICT industry.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and cooperate and collaborate with customers and employees at multiple levels.
• Ability to meet the role’s physical demands, including regularly lifting or moving up to 50 pounds, climbing vertical ladders, working at heights, and using common hand and power tools.

Nice To Haves

• BICSI and/or AVIXA certification.

Responsibilities

• Install low-voltage copper and fiber-optic cabling.
• Terminate and test copper and fiber cabling systems using certified test equipment.
• Use construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Repair and install network-enabled systems, including CCTV, access control, AV control systems, central sound, video management servers, projectors, screens, and interactive displays.
• Help keep building common areas and technology spaces neat, orderly, and safe.
• Complete work in accordance with blueprints, specifications, national and local codes, and industry standards such as TIA and BICSI.
• Update as-built drawings as necessary in accordance with department policies.
• Attend toolbox safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency, along with participating in other recommended topics.
• Obtain OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health standards certification.
• Commute to and navigate field locations and job sites.
