About The Position

Helix Electric, a leading electrical contracting company, is seeking a Low Voltage Installer with a minimum of 3 years of experience to support complex projects. The role involves working on structured data cabling, access control, and CCTV systems. The position requires willingness to travel throughout the Bay Area and Greater Bay Area, with project locations potentially in Napa, San Francisco, San Jose, or Tracy. The installer will be responsible for programming system software, configuring controllers and head-end equipment, reading and interpreting technical drawings, troubleshooting system issues, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Low Voltage Installer (not electrical).
Experience in structured data cabling, access control, and CCTV.
Ability to travel anywhere in the Bay Area & Greater Bay Area.
Ability to work 8-10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, with overtime and night shifts as required.
Ability to perform essential job functions including crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching.
Ability to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds.
Ability to push and pull objects.
Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.

Responsibilities

Install structured data cabling, access control, and CCTV systems.
Program and configure system software, controllers, and head-end equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, wiring diagrams, and riser drawings.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain accurate documentation, including as-built drawings and service reports.
Travel anywhere in the Bay Area & Greater Bay Area.
