Low Voltage Installer/Electrician
About The Position
We are seeking skilled Low Voltage Installers/Electricians to join our team. In this role you will need to be familiar with the equipment, installation, and commissioning of low voltage systems. Multiple years of experience in installation and troubleshooting is a plus. CSI is a low voltage systems integration contractor offering a full spectrum of services including sales, engineering, installation, service, and maintenance. We offer fire life safety, fire sprinkler, fire suppression, access control, video management, intrusion detection, structured cable, nurse call and other related electronic detection solutions to our customers.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record.
- Must be proficient in the use and application of industry related equipment including MS Office.
- Must have excellent communications skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
Nice To Haves
- Multiple years of experience in installation and troubleshooting is a plus.
- Industry related BICSI, NICET and/or State License is preferred, but not necessary to apply.
Responsibilities
- Installation of fire life safety and other low voltage systems in medium and large commercial buildings.
- Responsible for the execution of the installation project plan provided including equipment delivery, trouble shooting, commissioning as well as interface with other trades to successfully complete projects while exceeding customer's expectations.
- Resolve field problems through research of multiple alternatives.
- Coordinate the project activities with other trades at the work locations to optimize installation time.
- Communicate and effectively interact with other contractors and building owners.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
- Identify out of scope requests by the contractor or customer and notify management of pending changes.
- Identify and assist with suggested solutions for an efficient installation to complete scope.
- Assist customers on site with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Effectively communicate project status to management.
- Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required.
