About The Position

This organization specializes in four major telecommunications categories: LMR (Land Mobile Radio), IBS/IDAS (In-Building Systems, Distributed Antenna Systems), ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems), and Physical Security. The team supports a wide range of in-building wireless projects across Federal, State, and Local government, as well as education, transportation, stadiums/venues, and healthcare. Projects include construction, installation, and maintenance of in-building wireless access points and DAS infrastructure. This position supports projects throughout Tennessee, including DAS and low-voltage installations, public safety systems, fiber and coax work, ODAS/IDAS deployments, new construction, and existing campus upgrades. Work is performed across the state with occasional travel to Virginia.

Requirements

3+ years of cable installation experience (Coax, Fiber, Low Voltage).
Experience overseeing ISP/network cable construction, including rack/stack, terminations, and testing.
Strong troubleshooting skills with coax and fiber test equipment.
Ability to lead a helper, interpret blueprints, delegate tasks, and run small jobs.
Hardworking, reliable, and customer-facing
Strong communication skills
Ability to problem-solve and think critically
Willingness to learn and take initiative

Nice To Haves

DAS or single-mode fiber splicing experience is a major plus.

Responsibilities

Install and test coax, fiber, and low-voltage cabling
Rack and stack equipment; dress and label cables
Perform coax and fiber testing (OTDR, Fluke, and other industry-standard testing equipment)
Read blueprints and schematics
Delegate tasks and lead small jobs
Document work through photos and reporting to management
Work with various OEM and telecommunications equipment manufacturers
Install and work with ½" coax and fiber-based DAS systems
