About The Position

The Access Control Installer is responsible for the installation, programming, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of commercial electronic security systems, including access control, intrusion detection, CCTV/video surveillance, and integrated security solutions. The technician works directly with customers, project managers, and other installation personnel to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to install and terminate low-voltage cabling for access control, CCTV, intrusion alarm, and related security systems.
  • Ability to install and configure card readers, door contacts, request-to-exit devices, electric strikes, magnetic locks, and control panels.
  • Ability to program and test access control systems.
  • Ability to install and configure IP-based video surveillance systems and network-connected security devices.
  • Ability to perform system inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic diagrams, wiring drawings, and project specifications.
  • Ability to complete system commissioning and customer acceptance testing.
  • Ability to document work performed, service reports, equipment inventories, and project updates.
  • Ability to provide customer training on system operation and basic troubleshooting.
  • Ability to coordinate with project managers, customers, and other technicians.
  • Ability to maintain compliance with company safety policies and industry regulations.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
