About The Position

The Foreman is responsible for leading day-to-day field execution on Modern Tek Solutions’ construction projects. This role is boots-on-ground and oversees the jobsite crew, including temporary labor personnel, to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards. The Foreman works closely with the Project Manager to execute project plans, maintain jobsite productivity, and keep work progressing according to schedule. This position is hands-on and may perform installation work as needed while primarily focusing on directing manpower, maintaining quality control, and ensuring jobsite professionalism.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in low-voltage or construction field work.
  • Prior experience leading crews or supervising jobsite personnel.
  • Strong understanding of low-voltage systems including structured cabling, fiber, CCTV, AV, and access control.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project documentation.
  • Experience coordinating daily jobsite activities and manpower.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with Project Managers, Service teams, and external partners.
  • Comfortable directing temporary labor and maintaining productivity standards.
  • Ability to adapt to changing job-site conditions and project demands.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day field execution of assigned construction projects.
  • Direct and supervise field crews, including temporary labor personnel.
  • Execute work in accordance with project plans, drawings, and schedules.
  • Coordinate daily tasks and manpower assignments to meet project milestones.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for project execution.
  • Ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.
  • Install, terminate, and support low-voltage systems as required, including structured cabling, fiber, CCTV, and AV.
  • Monitor field productivity and report progress, issues, or delays to the Project Manager.
  • Identify jobsite issues, scope discrepancies, or material shortages and communicate them promptly.
  • Maintain job site cleanliness, organization, and professionalism.
  • Enforce safety protocols and company procedures on the jobsite.
  • Support punch list completion and project closeout activities.
  • Assist with training and onboarding of temporary labor on jobsite expectations and tasks.
