Requirements
- Five or more years of experience with low voltage system design
- Knowledge of the technical aspects of fire alarm design, including high-rise design, smoke control experience, and systems product knowledge
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- Understanding of building, fire, and electrical codes
- Demonstrate and uphold all of Power Design’s core values, which include integrity, accountability, teamwork, innovation, and growth
Responsibilities
- Design low voltage systems, including intrusion, access control, CCTV, DAS, LAN, Wi-Fi Networks, and more for commercial and multifamily projects
- Act as a resource and provide technical assistance for multiple projects during bidding, design, permitting, and construction
- Provide efficiency reviews and/or value engineering options for existing designs
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project personnel
- Design code-compliant, contract-compliant, and cost-effective systems while reviewing scopes of work, specifications, plans, and legal contracts
