About The Position

Seeking experienced Low Voltage/Data Technicians to support the installation and commissioning of network-based access control systems. Technicians will work alongside an Electrician as part of a two-person installation team. This is a contract position with a project duration from September to December, requiring 100% nationwide travel. The role involves 12-hour day shifts, Sunday through Thursday.

Requirements

Structured cabling and low-voltage installation experience.
Proficient with CAT5e/CAT6 terminations and testing.
Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
Available for 12-hour day shifts, Sunday through Thursday.
Able to travel for the duration of the project.
Reliable transportation and basic hand tools.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work from ladders and lifts as needed.

Nice To Haves

Experience with access control systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Install, terminate, and test CAT5e/CAT6 cabling.
Perform RJ45 terminations, cable certification, and network connectivity testing.
Install and connect door controllers, NFC tap points, and other access control devices.
Label, dress, and organize structured cabling.
Assist with controller commissioning, system verification, and troubleshooting.
Read and interpret floor plans, wiring diagrams, and project documentation.
Maintain installation quality standards and documentation.
