About The Position

Doota Industrial America is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Cable Technician Lead to oversee and support low voltage installation activities at the Samsung Semiconductor Plant in Taylor, Texas. This leadership role requires a highly skilled technician with proven experience leading crews, coordinating daily work activities, maintaining safety compliance, and ensuring quality installation of low voltage systems in an industrial construction environment. The Low Voltage Cable Technician Lead will serve as the primary point of contact for field operations, providing technical guidance, monitoring productivity, and ensuring project milestones are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.

Requirements

  • OSHA 10 Certification required (OSHA 30 preferred).
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Minimum 3+ years of low voltage cabling experience in industrial, commercial, or data center environments.
  • Previous leadership, foreman, or crew lead experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of structured cabling systems, pathways, cable management, and installation standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experience coordinating field crews and managing daily work activities.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.

Nice To Haves

  • Fiber Splicing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of Low Voltage Cable Technicians on daily installation activities.
  • Coordinate workforce assignments and monitor project progress to ensure schedules are met.
  • Install, terminate, test, maintain, and repair low voltage cabling systems.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, cable schedules, and construction drawings.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and industry best practices.
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics of cable infrastructure and connectivity issues.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA and site-specific safety requirements.
  • Train, mentor, and support technicians in proper installation methods and safety procedures.
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, electricians, and other trades to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Complete daily reports, work orders, and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Monitor material usage and communicate project needs to management.
  • Assist with inspections, testing, and project closeout activities.
  • Work alongside skilled electricians and technicians of various levels.
