About The Position

The Low Voltage Area Manager is responsible for overseeing all low-voltage electrical operations within an assigned area. This leadership position manages mechanical compliance while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with experience in electrical manufacturing, switchgear assembly, power distribution equipment, or industrial electrical systems. This individual will drive continuous improvement, maintain high-quality standards, and foster a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and interpret assembly instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Comfortable using hand tools, drills, and measurement devices
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work standing for extended periods
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience managing multiple crews and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and drawings.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with pneumatics, hand tools, or basic wiring
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
  • Basic knowledge of torque specs and fastener types
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Oversee fabrication, assembly, wiring, testing, and final inspection of switchgear.
  • Supervise Technicians and Installation technicians.
  • Assemble mechanical systems and subassemblies using blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
  • Perform final fit, torque, and testing procedures to ensure functionality
  • Work with basic hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
  • Follow build procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards
  • Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve problems
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation
