Low Impact Bridge Monitor

About The Position

Incumbent must be able to drive to designated locations to meet oversize load trucks at bridge checkpoints, monitor the truck speed while crossing bridge, and ensure permit paperwork has accurate weight listed. Must be able to maintain paperwork for each trip and fax/email to main facility daily. daily work records to be submitted each evening. Must be able to travel to areas within West Virginia, including but not limited to, Northern and Eastern Panhandles, Pocahontas, Nicholas, and Ritchie Counties, and everywhere between including state borders of Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia. Must be able to provide quality customer service, while presenting a professional image in the community to promote customer relations. Must be able to follow the criteria set by JSI and all contractual agreements. Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime when necessary for all shifts or days.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid West Virginia driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be willing and able to utilize personal vehicle to complete job duties.
  • Must have ability to exhibit reading, writing and math levels equivalent to a high school graduate.
  • Must have ability to pass a state background check and maintain good standing.
  • Must pass a drug screening.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record as well as current auto insurance, auto registration, and vehicle inspection sticker, providing evidence as requested.
  • Must be willing and able to utilize personal vehicle to complete job duties.
  • Must be able to sit for the duration of the shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Travel experience and familiarity with West Virginia preferred.

  • Must be willing and able to work varying shifts on an as-needed basis to include weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to follow directions from a map or GPS to complete assignment.
  • Must have knowledge of roadway safety procedures and the willingness and ability to follow these procedures.
  • Must have basic computer skills to complete and submit daily paperwork.
  • Must be willing and able to work in an extremely busy environment requiring above-average organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while accurately maintaining satisfactory progress and meeting established deadlines.
  • Willingness to provide a high level of quality customer service to our internal and external customers.
  • Must have a professional public image, with a clean and groomed appearance.
  • Must work well with customers, always remaining helpful and courteous in order to promote excellent customer service.
  • Must be willing to work as part of a team.
  • All other duties as assigned.
