Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED is required
  • Successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Candidates must be willing to work unusual business hours, such as holidays, weekends, and evenings, to be considered a Sales Porter.
  • Positive attitude and high energy and excellent communication and social skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend job-related instructions and information whether electronic or paper-based.
  • Be able to accommodate the physical requirements of the role: standing 6-8 hours per day and will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. This role will spend most of the time outdoors and be exposed to the elements.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to handle and drive all cars safely to protect dealership property and always ensure damage prevention.
  • Driving off-site to do dealership tasks when necessary.
  • Take detailed notes on vehicle conditions and movements.
  • Compare serial numbers of incoming cars against invoice.
  • Inspect vehicles to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice, such as spare tires and radio and stereo equipment.
  • Record the description of damages and list missing items on the delivery receipt.
  • Assign stock control numbers to cards.
  • Catalog and store keys.
  • Deliver sold vehicles to the new-vehicle preparation department.
  • Other duties as assigned
