About The Position

The Lot Porter is responsible for greeting and welcoming customers in a friendly and courteous manner, assisting them promptly and professionally. This role involves preparing vehicles for service by installing disposable covers and mats, identifying the correct service advisor for the customer, and managing vehicle movement within the dealership's parking lot. The Lot Porter also plays a role in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the parking lot and work areas, performing clerical tasks, and reporting any safety or security concerns to management. A valid local driver's license is required, and any changes to its status must be immediately reported. Additional duties may be assigned by management.

• High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers in a genuinely friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist all customers promptly and professionally.
• Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel cover, and floor mats in vehicles as necessary.
• Identify the service advisor with whom the customer has an appointment and notify that advisor.
• Drive vehicles from the service lane to their proper places in the service parking lot.
• Retrieve customer vehicles from the parking lot when their bill is paid or as directed by the advisor.
• Moves and works with vehicles to maintain vehicle display and support vehicle sales activities.
• Maintain the parking lot in a neat and organized manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform various clerical tasks as assigned by management.
• Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its employees or customers.
• Maintain a valid local area driver’s license and immediately inform management of any changes in its status.
• Other duties as assigned.
