Lot Porter/Facilities Maintenance
About The Position
Johnson Truck Center, a subsidiary of Indel Power Group, has an opening for a Lot Porter/Facilities Maintenance associate. This position is focused on supporting the daily operations of the branch by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized facility and lot environment. The Lot Porter / Facilities Maintenance employee will assist multiple departments as needed while helping ensure the property, grounds, and work areas are properly maintained. This job description contains a summary of responsibilities and expectations for the Lot Porter / Facilities Maintenance role. These duties should not be considered to include all aspects of the position.
Requirements
- Class B CDL required
- Ability to read and understand written instructions and information
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to safely operate vehicles, equipment, and machinery
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and safety
- Valid driver’s license required
Nice To Haves
- 6–12 months of previous work experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility, service shop, parking lot, and surrounding grounds
- Remove trash, cardboard, pallets, scrap materials, and other debris from the property
- Assist with basic building and grounds maintenance as needed
- Move, organize, and stage vehicles and equipment throughout the lot and service areas
- Support technicians and service personnel with general shop assistance
- Perform pickup and delivery of parts, supplies, and other company-related items as needed
- Monitor the facility and report any maintenance, safety, or operational concerns to management
- Assist with maintaining a safe and professional working environment for employees and customers
- Operate company equipment and vehicles safely and responsibly
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
