Lot Driver - Part Time - ADESA Fountain
About The Position
ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, operates in over 50 locations throughout the US, providing a wide array of vehicle services including repair, reconditioning, and auction remarketing. ADESA is undergoing a multi-year expansion with significant investments in facilities, sales growth, and inventory. This role reports to the Operations Manager or other designated manager and is responsible for operating motor vehicles on the premises to support auction activities, primarily by transporting and staging units in designated areas under leadership direction.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have a valid driver’s license that meets the requirements
- Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes, models, and sizes
- Automotive or auction experience preferred
- Proficiency with computer systems and applications
- Ability to comprehend alphanumeric order and motor vehicle traffic signs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in all weather conditions
- Proven ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Responsibilities
- Operate motor vehicles safely, practicing conservative, cautious, and courteous driving habits.
- Support efficient lot flow by positioning vehicles accurately to meet operational and sale day needs.
- Safely move, stage, and park various makes, models, sizes, and conditions of vehicles in designated lot areas.
- Move vehicles from the finish line to designated parking spots using alphanumeric ordering.
- Scan parked vehicles in the Internal Tracking system to maintain accurate inventory and record movement.
- Jump-start vehicles using a battery box as required.
- Maintain work areas to ensure a safe environment and promptly notify managers of all driving-related incidents or potential hazards.
- Follow company procedures involving accidents, injuries, or property damage, and ensure all state or federal laws are followed.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the designated manager.
