About The Position

AXLE Funding, a leading provider of automobile floorplan financing, is seeking a detail oriented and self-motivated Lot Auditor to conduct audits at wholesale and retail dealer locations throughout the assigned territory. This role is responsible for verifying inventory, reviewing dealership documentation, identifying discrepancies, and communicating audit findings. The ideal candidate is professional, detail focused, and able to work independently in a fast-paced field environment.

Requirements

  • Must reside within the assigned territory
  • Ability to work independently with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Daily travel is required and overnight travel may occasionally be necessary
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and dealership environments
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work accurately and thoroughly
  • Basic computer and mobile technology proficiency required
  • Professional communication skills and customer focused demeanor
  • Ability to lift and move items as needed

Responsibilities

  • Conduct floorplan audits by physically verifying inventory and inspecting VIN/serial numbers for financed units.
  • Review dealership records and supporting documentation related to sold, missing, or damaged inventory.
  • Partner with dealership personnel to identify and document the disposition of missing inventory units.
  • Verify MSOs, titles, and related documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Investigate and reconcile discrepancies, unusual circumstances, and inventory exceptions.
  • Accurately record inventory and audit findings using company provided technology.
  • Upload completed audits and document dealer visit activity in a timely manner.
  • Review audit findings directly with dealership personnel and communicate concerns professionally.
  • Communicate audit results, dealership conditions, and potential risk exposure to internal stakeholders.
  • Support collection and recovery efforts, including coordinating repossessions and conducting on site visits when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate expense reporting, daily timekeeping, and required administrative documentation.
