About The Position

The Lot Attendant works closely with the General Manager and Service Team to maintain the appearance of vehicles inside the showroom and on the lot, prepare vehicles for sale and delivery, support rental operations, and assist technicians with light mechanical tasks. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, working around vehicles, and supporting a fast-paced automotive environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude with strong customer service skills
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and work in shop and outdoor environments
  • Ability to lift and move heavy parts and tools
  • Comfortable working in moderate outdoor elements and occasional high noise environments
  • Strong manual dexterity and ability to maintain visual focus for extended periods

Nice To Haves

  • Additional education a plus
  • Automotive dealership experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Maintain vehicle appearance in the showroom and on the lot to the highest standards
  • Perform Post Delivery Inspections (PDI) on newly received vans
  • Prepare vehicles for customer delivery (cleaning and detailing as needed)
  • Clean rental vehicles upon return and reinstall seats, tie-downs, etc.
  • Ensure vehicles are cleaned and fueled as needed
  • Take photos of vehicles for the website and ensure proper window stickers, Buyer’s Guides, and warranty materials are displayed
  • Move vehicles between locations or to customer homes as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness of showroom, offices, restrooms, shop area, and parking lot
  • Help clean and organize the shop and parts storage areas
  • Assist with inventory counts
  • Pick up parts and store supplies as needed
  • Provide weekly mileage updates on in-stock vehicles
  • Assist technicians with minor repair work and installations
  • Perform “Superior Service” on incoming vehicles as needed
  • Follow Company and NMEDA standards
  • Maintain accurate records related to repair, installation, and maintenance work
