About The Position

Wally’s is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Loss Prevention Specialist to help protect company assets, reduce shrink, and support a safe, secure shopping environment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining operational integrity through surveillance, reporting, and a strong partnership with store leadership. The ideal candidate is organized, technologically proficient, and possesses a professional, engaging presence that enables them to provide exceptional guest service while maintaining a vigilant eye. Requirements

  • Highly observant, detail-oriented, and a natural process follower.
  • Professional demeanor and a commitment to ethical conduct.
  • Technologically competent and comfortable operating digital surveillance equipment and reporting software.
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to handle accurate paperwork/reporting in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and write clear, concise correspondence.
  • Required flexibility in scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Regularly required to stand/walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Frequent use of hands/arms to handle or feel equipment.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Ability to frequently lift 10 lbs and occasionally move up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in retail, guest service, or loss prevention is preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prevent theft and shortage at the front of the store by performing professional receipt checks and maintaining an approachable, vigilant presence.
  • Respond to and document incidents, completing thorough, organized investigation reports following Wally’s SOPs.
  • Understand all video and surveillance systems to identify irregularities and monitor trends to address inventory shrink.
  • Act as a disciplined process follower, strictly adhering to LP policies and leadership guidance during merchandise recoveries and apprehension support.
  • Report irregularities to management clearly and professionally, and partner with store leadership in executing shortage action plans.
  • Provide a shopping experience that meets the needs of the guest, using strong interpersonal skills to de-escalate situations and provide helpful assistance.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct and safety; identify and correct hazards to protect yourself, your teammates, and our guests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the store remains a safe and profitable environment.
