The Overnight Loss Prevention Officer will patrol all areas of the property, assist guests with room access, and monitor various security systems including Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm system, duress alarms, and fire life safety system. This role involves locking property entrances when required, conducting daily physical hazard inspections, and responding to accidents, providing first aid/CPR as needed. The officer will assist guests and employees during emergency situations, notify appropriate individuals of incidents, and defuse guest/employee disturbances, calling for outside assistance if necessary. Responsibilities also include completing incident reports, handling interruptions and complaints, resolving safety hazard situations, and escorting unwelcome persons from the property. The role requires reporting to scenes of vehicle accidents/thefts, using proper code responses, and completing a Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report. Maintaining confidentiality of all security and property reports/documents and conducting investigations, gathering evidence, and interviewing relevant parties are key aspects of the position. Additionally, the officer must follow all company policies and procedures, report accidents and unsafe conditions, complete safety training, maintain a professional appearance, protect company assets, and provide excellent guest service according to company standards. This role requires developing and maintaining positive working relationships and complying with quality assurance standards. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, reading various formats, visually inspecting equipment, using computers, moving at a speed required to respond to work situations, and lifting/carrying objects up to 50 pounds without assistance and over 75 pounds with assistance. Fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, over sloping/uneven/slippery surfaces, and up/down stairs are also necessary. The role may involve reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
