Loss Prevention Officer Night Shift
About The Position
National Beef Leathers of St. Joseph, Missouri, is seeking to hire qualified professionals to work as Loss Prevention Officers. This is a full-time position with a unique schedule of working only 3 1 / 2 Days per week. The starting wage is $18.50 per hour with a potential increase after 90 days. The schedules rotate every four weeks between two options: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday – full shift; Thursday – half shift OR Friday, Saturday, Sunday – full shift; Thursday – half shift. This is an on-site, safety-sensitive position.
Requirements
- Surveillance Skills (CCTV)
- Strong, Ethical Character
- Dependable
- Ability to be objective
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism
- Good people/conflict resolution skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
- Exemplary performance and attendance record at previous employment
- Must be available to work any shift including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities
- Monitor, control, and document vehicular traffic
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and customers by controlling access along with monitoring the plant premises, assets and personnel
- Secure premises by patrolling property
- Inspect Vehicles
- Inspect bags, lunch boxes
- Monitor controlled access points
- Complete required reports in a timely manner
- Record observations, occurrences and surveillance activities
- Prevent loss/damage to company property by providing a uniformed presence
- Investigate incidents of irregularity
- Contribute to a team effort
- Protecting product, equipment and tools from leaving property
- Preventing weapons, alcohol and drugs from entering property
- Other duties as assigned
