The Loss Prevention Officer Supervisor (Overnight) at Fairmont Dallas is responsible for training and supervising house officers. This role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to ensure a safe environment for guests and employees, minimizing loss or damage, and anticipating potential problems. The supervisor must react to disturbances, prohibited conduct, and emergency situations as needed. They are expected to maintain knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards, as well as the correct maintenance and use of equipment. The role requires anticipating guest needs, responding promptly, acknowledging all guests, and maintaining positive guest relations. The supervisor must be familiar with all hotel services, features, and local attractions to answer guest inquiries accurately and resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction. Key responsibilities include maintaining awareness of scheduled group activities, house count, hours of operation, and emergency procedures. They must notify local authorities when necessary, report and document incidents, and conduct health screenings for all entering the property, providing badges for contractors. The role involves issuing and maintaining records for radios and keys, inspecting employee packages, and patrolling the property to document actions. The supervisor will coordinate emergency situations, investigate duress alarms, and demonstrate proficiency with applicable codes. They will receive and assess emergency radio and telephone reports, dispatching appropriate response teams. Maintaining vigilance over monitors and alarm panels, understanding their operation, and being familiar with the fire alarm enunciator panel are crucial. The supervisor must be knowledgeable about areas to be controlled, officers on duty, building locations, emergency numbers, and available emergency services. They will resolve safety hazards, investigate suspicious persons, and conduct investigations into various complaints (theft, noise, assault, food poisoning, etc.), completing documented reports. Prompt response to guest/employee accidents, administering first aid/CPR, and communicating with EMS are required. Compliance with state regulations and hotel guidelines for handling intoxicated guests is necessary. The supervisor will also report to and document vehicle accidents/thefts, coordinate the lost and found program, and monitor surveillance cameras. Finally, they will supervise the entire Loss Prevention staff assigned to the shift and manage all fire alarms and emergencies within the property.
