About The Position

The Loss Prevention Manager works to create guests for life, by proactively embracing service standards, adhering to safety regulations and gaining the knowledge to assist guests with any and all needs.

Requirements

  • 2 plus years of previous Security/Loss Prevention Management experience in hotel setting
  • High School Degree or Equivalent
  • Computer skills required
  • Must be detail oriented, have excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform professionally under high levels of stress.

Nice To Haves

  • Some College preferred
  • Exceptional people skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all security personnel functions are being properly completed by the Loss Prevention Department.
  • Assist with and oversee the safe and secure operation of the Hotel, Golf Courses, and The District area of the Resort.
  • Ensures that shift personnel are properly assigned at all times.
  • Responsible for disciplining Loss Prevention personnel in conjunction with the Director of Loss Prevention.
  • Review all reports completed by Loss Prevention Officers to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
  • Maintains a good relationship with all departments within the hotel and ensures that efficient service is available at all times.
  • Reports all observed hotel property deficiencies and safety hazards.
  • Ensures that a thorough and complete investigation and report is made on incidents (e.g., losses, thefts, and accidents and acts of violence) incurred by guests and associates.
  • Responsible for coordinating guest room surveillance in conjunction with the Director of Loss Prevention.
  • Ensures that all phases of the key control program are maintained, and any discrepancies noted are investigated thoroughly and reported to the Director of Loss Prevention.
  • Ensures that all Loss Prevention equipment (i.e., uniforms, walkie-talkies, cameras, etc.) is kept clean and in good working condition.
  • Monitors all traffic in the lobby area and restaurant, restrooms, garage area, and room service area to control non-guest (i.e., drunks, prostitutes, vagrants, etc.)
  • Reports all associates using unauthorized hotel entrances/exits when reporting for work or leaving for the day to the Director of Loss Prevention.
  • Responsible for coordinating the hiring and termination of all Loss Prevention personnel in conjunction with the Director of Loss Prevention.
