About The Position

This position involves patrolling property, securing rooms, and assisting guests. Responsibilities include conducting emergency response drills, safety inspections, investigations, and audits. The role requires monitoring surveillance systems, authorizing access to secured areas, and assisting guests and employees during emergencies. This includes responding to accidents, administering first aid/CPR, gathering information, and completing reports while maintaining confidentiality. The position also involves defusing disturbances, resolving safety hazards, handling interruptions and complaints, and escorting unwelcome individuals from the property. Ensuring compliance with alcoholic beverage control laws and using proper code responses are also key duties. Additionally, the role assists management in training, motivating, and coaching employees, serving as a role model and the first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process. It requires adherence to company policies, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, completing safety training, maintaining a professional appearance, protecting company assets, and providing excellent guest service. The role also involves developing positive working relationships, supporting team goals, and ensuring quality standards. Specific physical requirements include reading and visually verifying information, inspecting equipment, using computers, moving at a speed required for work situations, standing/sitting/walking for extended periods, lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling objects up to 50 pounds without assistance and over 75 pounds with assistance, manipulating objects with fine motor skills, moving through narrow/confined/elevated spaces, moving over sloping/uneven/slippery surfaces and stairs, and reaching overhead and below the knees. Reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors must also be performed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Some states may have additional licensing/registration requirements to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property; secure rooms; assist guests with room access.
• Conduct emergency response drills, daily physical hazard/safety inspections, investigations, and key control audit.
• Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions and alarm systems.
• Authorize, monitor, and document access to secured areas.
• Assist guests/employees during emergency situations.
• Respond to accidents, contact EMS or administer first aid/CPR as required.
• Gather information and complete reports.
• Maintain confidentiality of reports/documents, release information to authorized individuals.
• Defuse disturbances in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Resolve safety hazard situations.
• Handle all interruptions and complaints.
• Escort unwelcome persons from the property.
• Ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage control laws.
• Call for assistance using proper code responses.
• Provide proper paperwork to employees.
• Assist management in training, motivating and coaching employees; serve as a role model and first point of contact of the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
• Follow all company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.

• Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
