The Loss Prevention Officer oversees, observes, and supervises employees entering and exiting the building. They walk through and around the exterior of the entire facility conducting Safety/Hazard/Security audits. The role also involves continually monitoring the hazard materials storeroom and cleaning up spills, overseeing and supervising the disposition of damaged items, loading items onto push carts, and moving them to a safe location. Additionally, the Loss Prevention Officer walks throughout the facility and conducts general investigations, inventory counts, and cycle counts. They use computers and office equipment, must read Standard Operating Procedures, hear fire/security alarms and phones, and be able to monitor CCTV. This role also provides trainings to other employees and performs housekeeping duties, keeping floors clean, and work areas neat and clean.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours.
CPR/First Aide Certified or able to obtain certification through company provided training.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Experience with CCTV preferred.
Degree in Criminal Justice or 3-5 years of practical experience in Security, Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement Field preferred.
Able to work a varied schedule to include early mornings, swing shift, nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.

Be an active participant in contributing to a successful safety culture in the facility.
