About The Position

As a Loss Prevention Associate, you will assist in Loss Prevention activities within the Distribution Center (DC). You will perform physical security, report policy and procedure violations to leadership, investigate internal theft, monitor processes, audit compliance, and perform data entry, documentation and Gatehouse operations. You will assist in the protection of Kohl’s physical, human and property assets. You will monitor physical security policies and procedures of Kohl’s and the Distribution Center, and report incidents of associate theft or safety violations. You will participate in internal theft investigations in strict adherence to Kohl's policies and guidelines. You will monitor all Kohl’s Department Store and Distribution Center safety policies and procedures and actively participate in the Distribution Center Safety Committee. You will perform Distribution Center Loss Prevention audits to measure accuracy, and report production fraud or short-cuts by associates. You will monitor associates (via the floor and CCTV) to ensure compliance to processing guidelines. You will perform data entry of all audit results and assigned information, and perform all Gatehouse operations and Gatehouse data entry. You will also assist in store inquiries and participate in the training of newly hired Loss Prevention Associates. Additional tasks may be assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent and/or previous Distribution Center, Law Enforcement and/or Store Loss Prevention experience
Ability to perform the accountabilities listed in the “What You’ll Do” Section
Ability to comply with dress code requirements
Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and basic computer operation
Ability to maintain prompt and regular attendance and meet scheduling requirements as set by the company
Ability to learn and comply with all company policies, procedures, standards and guidelines
Ability to give direction and to receive, understand and proactively respond to direction from leadership and other company personnel
Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively and appropriately with others
Ability to maintain composure and work in a fast paced environment while accomplishing multiple tasks within established timeframes
Ability to satisfactorily complete company training programs
Ability to use a personal computer for tasks such as communicating, preparing reports, etc.
Ability to plan, prioritize and monitor activities across business units
Ability to complete or oversee the completion of assigned projects in a timely manner

Nice To Haves

Certification in the use of power equipment to aid in investigations
Auditing experience
Working knowledge of software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and PeopleSoft
