Position Overview: Implementation and execution of all Loss Prevention initiatives and policies within their assigned location in partnership with Store Management and the Area Loss Prevention Manager, to protect the company’s assets and ensure the safety of all customers and employees. Assist Store Manager and Area Loss Prevention Manager with training of store personnel on Loss Prevention policies, procedures, and initiatives. Detect and identify shoplifters and safely apprehend subjects or recover merchandise accordance with Federal and Provincial laws, as well as company and department policy. Assist the Area Loss Prevention Manager with detection and investigation of internal theft and policy violation incidents on an ongoing basis. Track internal investigations and external theft incidents within the department’s case management system in a timely manner. Implement loss reduction initiatives in partnership with store teams and Loss Prevention senior management. Follow up as necessary on throughout the inventory cycle to ensure compliance and report progress to the Store Manager, Area Loss Prevention Manager, and others as directed. Utilize Loss Prevention technology equipment including CCTV, Access Control, EAS, and exception-based reporting systems to identify and act on loss and safety issues within assigned location. Utilize technology including exception-based reporting systems to identify dishonest activity both internally and externally. Utilize the store RFID Inventory system and be able to provide training to store team members on an ongoing basis. Correct and resolve operational issues in partnership with the store team, Area Loss Prevention Manager, and the LP Inventory Accuracy team. Provide direct support to assigned locations for taking of financial inventory, and RFID based cycle counts as directed. Regularly communicate with other LP team members, and support cross-communication between store team members, and other departments to identify common issues. Other duties as assigned.
