Loss Prevention Associate II
About The Position
The Loss Prevention Associate II supports the District Loss Prevention Manager and Store Management by performing core loss-prevention duties, including serving as a visible deterrent to potential loss and dishonesty while wearing a body-worn camera. The role supports a positive customer shopping experience and maintains strong partnerships with store teams and loss prevention. It requires sound judgment to protect the safety of the associate and others, as well as the Company brand, while adhering to Company policies, culture, and values. The associate maintains a professional presence at the front of the store or in a department, greets and assists customers, communicates concerns to loss prevention or store management, documents required incidents in AIIM Case Management, and participates in a closing safety sweep with a member of management. The position is at the HomeGoods Store 1036 in College Point, New York.
Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to prioritize and organize workload and manage time effectively.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- 0–2 years of retail or security experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a proper and professional stance in the designated area at the front of the store.
- Act as a visual deterrent to prevent potential loss or dishonesty.
- Review and understand the Store Emergency Response Guide.
- Wear a complete Company-approved uniform, including a body-worn camera.
- Greet customers appropriately and demonstrate courtesy and respect.
- Establish and maintain a position at the front of the store or in a department.
- Respond to customer requests for assistance by referring customers to store management or customer service via a Company-issued radio.
- Observe and report suspicious behavior or critical incidents to Loss Prevention or store management.
- Perform a closing safety sweep of the store with a member of management.
- Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
- Document required incidents in AIIM Case Management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
