About The Position
Safely perform troubleshooting, diagnostic analysis, repair, and routine maintenance of production equipment following established Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost standards.
Requirements
- Must have mechanical aptitude, including troubleshooting.
- Experience with service and repair of complex production machinery and equipment including electrical and mechanical components a plus.
- Ability to be certified to complete lockout/tagout operations and to complete Hazardous Communications training.
- Ability to be certified to operate a powered industrial trucks.
- Ability to read and interpret dials, gauges, rulers, equipment service manuals, and general instructions.
- Ability to accurately complete paperwork and data entry.
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Ability to learn independently including book, web-base and classroom participation.
- Full-time presence required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous textile manufacturing experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
- Perform diagnostic analysis, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, and routine maintenance of equipment.
- Make minor adjustments to ensure product meets specifications.
- Restart equipment following shutdown, ensuring proper operation.
- Doff loom pancakes and transfer to carts.
- Assist Weavers to Operate set (s) of looms. Repair breaks, draw – in, repair smashes, perform style changes, ensure construction conforms to style sheets.
- Notifies appropriate personnel of any incidents or situations that would trigger implementation of the contingency plan.
- May perform emergency response duties as required by management.
- Move chemicals and or waste within the facility and maintain chemical storge areas in a clean, orderly manner.
- Follows applicable EHS department procedures.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Excellent attendance is required.
- Ability to work overtime as required or requested including extended shifts and weekends; overtime will be required.
